What to Expect on Your First Silkies Hike

1. Warm Welcome:
When you arrive at the parking lot, greet our team at the table and they will help you get situated. This is the perfect time to introduce yourself and let someone know it’s your first hike—we love our first-timers!

2. Waivers & Wristbands:
Before the fun begins, make sure to get in line to check in, sign your waiver, and get your wristband. These keep everything running smoothly and ensure you’re set for the day.

3. Come Hungry & Thirsty:
Food and water will be provided throughout the day. While you’re welcome to bring your own snacks and hydration, we’ve got the essentials covered.

4. Icebreakers Galore:
Feeling shy? No worries! Everyone here is on their own healing journey, and sharing your story—or just cracking a joke—is encouraged. Use the stops as an opportunity to chat, connect, and maybe find your next battle buddy.

5. Volunteer If You’re Bored:
There’s always something to do! Ask a leader how you can pitch in, whether it’s handing out water, helping with games, or simply spreading some positive vibes.

6. Rebuilding Connections:
This hike is more than a physical challenge—it’s about rebuilding your social and emotional safety net. Friendship and laughter are powerful tools for healing, and this is the perfect space to strengthen both.
